Description

Bob Martin Skin & Coat Care daily supplement is formulated to support healthy skin and a soft, glossy coat in cats, helping address the common causes of dryness, flakiness and excessive shedding.

It’s suited to cats showing signs of a dull or shedding coat, dry or flaky skin, or those affected by seasonal changes and indoor heating, which can all affect coat condition. It’s also a good choice for cats reluctant to take tablets, since the lickable format is easy and enjoyable to feed.

This supplement provides biotin, zinc and a full range of vitamins in a tasty, grain-free lickable sachet, gentle on sensitive stomachs, to help support healthy skin cell turnover and maintain a soft, shiny coat. Feed daily according to your cat’s weight, following the feeding guidelines on pack, either straight from the pouch, in a bowl, or as a food topper. It can also be used to help disguise the taste of medication. Suitable for cats from 3 months of age

FAQs

A dull coat or flaky skin is often the first visible indicator that your cat is missing key nutritional building blocks in their diet. While basic cat food provides energy, it often lacks the concentrated therapeutic levels of specific nutrients, like Biotin and Omega fatty acid, required for healthy cell turnover and sebum production.

Common causes for poor coat condition include seasonal changes, indoor heating, nutritional deficiencies, or aging. Providing a targeted skin and coat supplement helps replenish these reserves from the inside out, restoring your cat’s natural oil barrier and promoting a soft, lustrous sheen.

Biotin and Zinc are considered the “gold standard” nutrients for dermatological health in pets. They work in tandem to maintain the structural integrity of the skin and hair follicles:

  • Biotin (Vitamin B7): Essential for the production of keratin, the primary protein that makes up your cat’s fur. It strengthens individual hair strands, reducing excessive shedding and preventing breakage.
  • Zinc: A vital mineral that supports rapid cell division and wound healing. It acts as a natural anti-inflammatory agent, helping to soothe itchy, irritated skin and preventing the dryness that leads to dandruff.

Combined with essential vitamins, these nutrients help repair the skin barrier, creating a healthy foundation for thick, shiny coat growth.

Cats cannot produce certain essential fatty acids (such as Omega-3 and Omega-6) on their own, meaning they must get them through their diet. EFAs are the “building blocks” of healthy skin cells. They help lock moisture into the skin, preventing trans-epidermal water loss which leads to dryness and scratching. By maintaining a healthy lipid barrier, EFAs also help protect your cat against common environmental allergens, reducing the severity of seasonal skin flare-ups.

Consistency is the secret to a healthy coat, as hair growth and skin regeneration take time. The lickable sachet delivery system ensures your cat actually consumes the full daily dose of nutrients without the stress of pills or powders.

Because these supplements are highly palatable and mimic “lick-e-lix” style treats, they turn health maintenance into a daily reward your cat looks forward to. This ensures they receive a precise, therapeutic amount of Zinc, Biotin, and Fatty Acids every single day, avoiding the “missed doses” common with difficult-to-feed supplements.

Skin and coat health follows the natural hair growth cycle, so improvements are typically seen in stages.

  • Weeks 1–2: You may notice reduced skin flakiness and a slight increase in hydration.
  • Weeks 3–6: The most dramatic changes occur here, as the new, stronger hair growth begins to replace old, brittle fur. You will likely see an increase in softness, improved color vibrancy, and a decrease in shedding around the home.

For best results, we recommend daily use to ensure your cat’s skin barrier remains fortified against environmental stressors year-round.
