Mark, Our Vet

Since graduating as a vet in the late 1980’s, Mark has worked in a number of practices across the country. He is currently responsible for a small group of pet only practices in the West Country. Together with his team of vets and nurses, they have seen over 4000 clients and cared for over 6500 pets over the last couple of years from Siberian Hamsters to Neopolitan Mastiffs.

Wild Birds – Some tips on helping them survive...


In January 2011 the government (DEFRA) published some data on UK bird populations. The results for farmland and woodland birds did not make easy reading:

  • Farmland birds had declined by 49% when compared to 1970’s levels
  • Woodland birds were 24% lower over the same period

They concluded that the decline of bird species was a complex issue that could not be attributed to one single factor. Read more...
