Using Our Products

Cat

Q: Can I use your Dewormer Spot On and Flea Spot On at the same time?
A: No, you should leave 7 days between applications.

Q: Does your Spot On Dewormer for cats treat for both Roundworm and Tapeworm?
A: Our Spot On Dewormer only treats for Tapeworm, it does not have an effect on Roundworm. To treat for both types of worms in cats, try our Bob Martin 2 in 1 Dewormer Tablets.

Q: Can your Double Action Spot On be used on pregnant/nursing cats and dogs?
A: Yes, the Double Action Spot On is safe for use on pregnant/nursing cats and dogs.

Q: Is there anything I should know when using Spot On products?
A: Ensure pets cannot lick the area of application of a Spot On while before it has dried;

  1. This means the Spot on has to be administered where the pet cannot lick itself
  2. The pet(s) that has been treated with Spot On should be kept separate from any other pets
  3. If you have a household with cats and dogs always use a Spot On that can be used in a house with both cats and dogs (like Bob Martin Double Action Spot On).

Q: My cat has a collar on, can I use any other products at the same time?
A: Collars, especially Flea Collars should be removed prior to using any other product on your cat.

Q: How can I stop excess glitter from coming off of the Bob Martin Glitter Flea Collar?
A: The best way to reduce this is to shake the collar over a sink before applying it to your cat.

Q: Can I use your My Little Friend products on Ferrets?
A: Yes, the whole range is suitable for use on Ferrets, dose according to weight.

Q: What are the ingredients in your My Little Friend Spot On?
A: The product contains S-Methoprene which is an insect growth regulator and the repellent used is Merck IR3535.

Q: How long do I have to stay out of the room for after treating with a Home Flea Product?
A: This will depend on what product has been used as it is not always necessary to vacate the room so always check the label before use.

Q: What is the difference between a repellent and an insecticide?
A: A repellent is a preventative treatment, i.e. it does not kill anything but deters them.  An insecticidal product will kill the fleas/mites so is necessary to quickly get rid of a burden of fleas.

Q: How often do I need to give my pet a Bob Martin Flea Tablet?
A: Each Bob Martin Flea Tablet is effective within 15 minutes for a period of 24 hours.  After the 24 hours another tablet can be given if required.
