Fleas

Nobody likes fleas but they are a fact of life if you have a dog or a cat. They live off your pet by biting its skin and sucking its blood.  This can cause serious irritation to you and your pet as well as potentially carrying disease.  Fleas can also carry and infect pets with tapeworms.

There are over 56 types of fleas in the UK and central heating creates an ideal living condition for fleas all year round.  Therefore it is essential that you follow a 3 step flea control programme to keep both your pet and your home free of fleas.

Step 1:  Treat existing flea infestations on your dog with one of our flea killing products, such as Bob Martin Flea Spray for dogs and puppies, Bob Martin Flea Powder for cats and dogs or Bob Martin Flea Shampoo for dogs and puppies, to kill all of the fleas on your dog’s coat.

Step 2:  Protect your dog all year round from fleas by using one of our Bob Martin Dog Spot Ons or Dog Flea Collars.  This will prevent new fleas from infecting your dog and keep it free from infestation.

Step 3:  At the same time you need to treat your dog’s bedding, carpets and soft furnishings regularly to kill adult fleas and prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing.  Try Bob Martin Home Flea Fogger Plus, Bob Martin Home Flea Spray Plus or Bob Martin Home Flea Kill Powder.

Please Note:  When using any flea control treatment, either on an animal or in your home, it is extremely important that you use a product that has been specifically created for that purpose and you must read and follow all of the instructions and precautions carefully.

Bob Martin Dog Spot must not be used on cats - it is extremely poisonous to cats.
