Nobody likes fleas but they are a fact of life if you have a cat or dog. They live off your pet by biting its skin and sucking its blood. This can cause serious irritation to you and your pet as well as potentially carrying disease. Fleas can also carry and infect pets with tapeworms.
There are over 56 types of fleas in the UK and central heating creates an ideal living condition for fleas all year round. Therefore it is essential that you follow a 3 step flea control programme to keep both your pet and your home free of fleas.
Step 1: Treat existing flea infestations on your cat with one of our flea killing products, such as Bob Martin Silent Flea Spray for cats or Bob Martin Flea Powder for cats and dogs to kill all of the fleas on your cat’s coat.
Step 2: Protect your cat all year round from fleas by using one of our Bob Martin Cat Spot Ons or Cat Flea Collars (we have a wide range of fashion and reflective flea collars for cats available). This will prevent new fleas from infecting your cat and keep it free from infestation.
Step 3: At the same time you need to treat your cat’s bedding, carpets and soft furnishings regularly to kill adult fleas and prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing. Try Bob Martin Home Flea Fogger Plus, Bob Martin Home Flea Spray Plus or Bob Martin Home Flea Kill Powder.
Please Note: When using any flea control treatment, either on an animal or in your home, it is extremely important that you use a product that has been specifically created for that purpose and you must read and follow all of the instructions and precautions carefully.
Bob Martin Dog Spot must not be used on cats - it is extremely poisonous to cats. |
